A Sailor's Sonnet~A Sailor's Sonnet~A Sailor's Sonnet
Up and down the deck I walk The sea's air blew I can hear someone talk, I hear, the ghost of you
I look up at the stars as I hear the music play; you once were near, but now so far a thousand miles away.
I remember when I held your hand how we warmly embraced each other I'm wishing I was back on land; As one memory fades into another
It's only a week, but feels like a year, I will return to you, my dear

What are we if not slave to our own torment?
To be forgotten is worse then dead.
The dark is nothing to be afraid of. What could be lurking in it is.
